Iowa Beef Expo Recap

We had a great week at the 2013 Iowa Beef Expo!  For us it started off with the Iowa Select Hereford Sale.  Stalls were set up Tuesday evening and cattle were on display Wednesday and Thursday.  The sale cattle were then on parade in the pavillion Thursday morning for inspection by potential bidders.  When the sale was over, both our consignments sold very well and are headed to the state of Ohio.

Lot 40
Baja Speakeasy 17Z
Sold to Weickert Herefords
Sandusky, OH
We are very proud that Speakeasy will be used to service purebred Hereford cows, we truly feel this bull will sire some outstanding cattle!  Thank you for your confidence in our breeding program

Lot 63
Baja Ila 0412Z
Sold to Chris Pugh
Shelby, OH
We were ecstatic when we found out Ila will be going to a good home and will be shown by a junior!  We can't wait to see her again this summer at Junior Nationals in Kansas City
We also had a few cattle showing in the Junior show during the weekend.  With around 1400 head showing in the junior show, placing at the top of your class is a victory in itself, and we were fortunate enough to do so.  And when they get a look for breed or division champion makes it even better.

"Gray Bob"
